I hope the bucking horse and rider are gold and not white. I sure liked that design the poster came up a while ago with the brown uniform, helmet with the gold numbers and barbed wire going down the pant leg.

I think that's a great idea.
For some reason, someone with money insists that the white helmet=tradition. It's just not true. Look back through the helmet project and you'll see what I'm talking about.
I'm definitely not a fashionista. The one rule I did learn from my mom is "Don't try to wear too many colors at once". Still, the money guy insists that the white helmet is tradition and the three color scheme gets us ranked in the bottom 10 for uniforms every year.
I say: give me predominantly brown uniforms with brown helmets, pants, jerseys and gold highlights. Give me all whites for our other uniforms and lets get our asses out of the bottom 10.
I'm amped: Brown Helmet=win.

Actually I just landed a job within the Athletics Department. I just got told about some changes while I was in there. I was never told to not say anything, but I just figured it might be a surprise type thing that I didn't want to ruin...but sometimes it's hard to keep quiet

I agree with Two-Tone. That gold helmet is ugly. I know some oldtimers love it but ickkkkkk.
uke: Personally, I'm happy with the helmet we wear today. I like the white helmet because I think it represents the tradition of Wyoming football the best. In the modern helmet era, UW has worn a white helmet all but 5 years (1975-1980).
To be quite honest, I don't think I would change a single thing about our current uniform. I, for one, was happy to see them go away from the prarie gold mainly because that wasn't our initial school color. The initial school colors were based off the brown eyed susan flower, which is a much brighter yellow color than that prarie gold was.
To me, I don't really care how a uniform actually looks. It's more about tradition. I couldn't care less if ESPN thinks our uniforms look crappy or the other schools make fun of them. Those colors represent something much more than just vanity to me...and they should to the players as well.

I do like the helmet we wear, but I would not mind it having a gold-brown-gold stripe going down the middle of it.
