I don't know how many years of eligibility I will have. Thats' why I'm interested in attempting to see if I could play... Until this process is finished I will give my amateur career history
Pee Wee/Rec Football: Williamson County Cowboys (I did play for the cowboys once! lol) played kicker and cornerback
Middle School: Battle Ground Academy- Kicker and Safety. This was my first experience with a game winning kick(a PAT to win)
In high school I played at 3 different high schools. I guess I was considered a journeyman of sorts. I was not the starting kicker my freshman year at Battle Ground(Senior Kicker played) so I got to be the holder and actually gained valuable experience in learning many aspects of special teams. After being kicked out of BGA for throwing a chair through the principals office window, I was sent to an all boys Boarding school in Charlottesville, Virginia. Blue Ridge
The Blue Ridge Barons: This is where I first tasted what it was like to be a dominate team. That year we were beating oppents 70-0. As soon as I would walk off the field after kicking an extra point, I was turning around to do it again. In my first game I hit two 40+ yard field goals and would only miss 2 out of 12 attempts that year. I also went on to make my first 50+ yarder in this year. We went on to play Fork Union Military, where such greats as Eddie George and Bernie Kosar played, in the state championship. We lost 42-2. It was shocking to lose that bad after blowing everyone else out.
I won the the award for all state kicker in Virginia that year. I could not believe it. All these awards were just being dropped in my lap. All-county, all-region, All-conference etc. This would lead to bad things late my junior year.
Junior year: I begged my parents to let me come back home and that I would not have another "incident." They agreed and I went to a public school for the first time in my life. I was in heaven, there were actually girls, lots of them! Centennial high school, in Franklin, TN had only played 2 seasons of varsity football when i got there. School had already started at Centennial a week before my parents agreed to not send me back to Blue ridge. So I walked into school and basically told them I need to go school here. lol. I went into the coach's office later that afternoon and told him I was interested in playing football. He asked what position I played. I told him kicker/punter. He said "we already have one" and walked off! I hurried to catch up with him and said I would still like to play even if I had to be a backup... So he grumbled something and walked off again. I took that as sign, go to the equipment manager and get some gear.
Well this backup thing lasted until the first game

I had only been there one day before our first game. I didn't know anyone! The special teams coach notices me warming up pre-game and comes up to me and says "who the hell are you? and how do you kick it so far?" long story short, he says let me take a look at you this next week in practice and then you may able to play because our kicker has been here with us through all of summer practice, etc and deserves this game.
Game starts. We drive down, line up for a field goal, he misses BAD... We score a touchdown next drive, he missed the PAT. So you can guess what happens... The coach who doesn't know my name comes up to me and says can I go in? I said sure, I won't miss. So my first PAT attempt: I had only meet a handful of guys on the team and no one knew my name. So in the huddle I introduce myself, meet my holder, briefly tell him how I like the ball tilted and It that is the beginning of a great season my Junior year until....
I'll make this a two part story, today is my racquetball day and I can't leave my partner waiting.. Stay Tuned, you will want to hear what goes wrong!
