Timing of our suckitude

This is my issue with Burman, et al....NO, absolute no vision of how to elevate Wyoming athletics. He has always defaulted to "Wyoming's goal is to remain competitive". No plan to make Wyoming the pinnacle of athletic excellence.
Keep the bar low and expectations follow....
It is easier to run a mediocre business that nobody cares about, than to inspire to run a great business, where everyone is coming after you.

I’m with you on that. It’s looking like the MWC better be ready to grab at least 3 CUSA teams. Very unlikely the FCS teams would want to invest 5 million to move to FBS in a conference that may not last long and potentially sent packing back to FCS in the next few years.

Burman is silent because he knows how bleak the future is looking right now.

The P12 may end up desperately absorbing more MWC teams and Wyoming will be begging the CUSA for a spot.

It’s dog eat dog and our dog prefers to sniff tail instead.
The thing we'll have is the buyout money which helps. We should be able to infuse cash into invites, cusa or fcs.

However, the thing no one is talking about is that we have 2 weasels that just went through a year of lawsuits regarding buyouts and they won. I'm also guessing they learned loopholes that could be exploited to eliminate buyouts. They are now financially motivated to completely destroy the mwc. Depending on how they maneuver and the aac maneuvers (AF and UNM), they could create such instability that the mwc ceases to exist because everyone jumps on whatever life raft they can.

It boggles my mind why the mwc hasn't responded yet.

My guess is that the Pee 6 is awaiting what they think they can get. If they get nothing then destroy what is left.

Everyone seems so focused on Burman and UW's coaches. Okay, I get it. But Gloria Nevarez's sole obligation was to strengthen and promote the Mountain West conference. The negligence could impact Wyoming for years. Has anyone heard anything from her (aside from the initial tough talk weeks ago)? Maybe there is a bigger strategy that none of us know about, but 4 teams left in total secrecy and there seems to be no plan. Desperate for some update, I read someone's prediction about what the MW will look like. Here's his prediction:
Who knows if this is accurate. But to me it looks more FCS than FBS. So, we have to watch the demise of the Mountain West and the demise of the Cowboys. Its just a rotten year to be a mid-major fan and a rotten year to be a Wyoming fan. And Nevarez needs to report some news. The ONLY good news that I can hold onto is that CSU will be a bottom dweller forever.

If Wyoming becomes FCS or were to eliminate football, I would never set foot on the campus again.
