Time for a Satellite Camp?

For those that missed it, in recent days Nick Saban has thrown a hissy fit over opposing coaches (particularly Jim Harbaugh) hosting Satellite camps. What is a Satellite camp? Basically, a program hosting a camp for high school players in another state or area. Michigan has done a few in the South. Boise State did a few in Houston and Dallas. A ton of schools have done a few in Seattle. It annoys coaches everywhere, but it's not illegal or against any rules.

It's like the Mormon mission of college football lol. Does anyone know if Wyoming is doing this? It would be great if Bohl and the staff took their show on the road and did camps for high schoolers in Texas, California, etc. Hell, piss off CSU by doing 1-2 of them in the Denver area.

If you want awareness of the program to grow in important areas, this seems like an effective way to do so.

We are doing three. Dallas, Chicago and somewhere in OK I believe.

I hope this isn't the copy going out to the kids and their families...there is a glaring error half way down the page and here it is:

"These camps are are open to any and all entrants subject to grade restrictions." "Are are?" Really, are we pirates for fuck sake? Jesus it might be just a minor error but it makes us look sloppy. Someone needs to proof these things and correct errors before they go to print.

We already recruit hard out of Colorado. We need the camps to make a presence in states where we don't normally recruit but want to recruit more.

This!
Kids in Colorado already know who we are. Growing up in southern California, kids in my school didn't even know Wyoming had a football team. The 2004 bowl against ucla helped a little, but we truly need to expand our brand if we want to be the "team of the west"

I live not far from the one that be on June 18 at Bishop McGuiness. Excellent idea to have a camp here in Oklahoma.
