never really got an answer, are those uniforms making an appearance at the MWC tourney this week?? just curious
 
People on this board are funny. The new throwbacks are god awful ugly but because they have history they're the greatest thing since sliced bread. New grey unis are an abomination because they're different. The greys are much better looking than the throwbacks. There is a reason why they quit using that design....

I'm sorry but you're exactly wrong. The throwbacks are awesome because that is truly a great and unique design that incorporates the school colors in an interesting way while retaining a classic feel. You'd be hard pressed to come up with a design that is true to the school colors that looks much better than that. The grey unis are an abomination because they are ugly as shit, the design with the logo in place of a wordmark on the chest is really offputting, and grey and black aren't the fucking school colors.

Gotta agree with cowduck on this one. The throwbacks didn't look good because of the time period they were worn in. They looked good because it was a good design! As far as the grey unis go, I don't think we should be wearing anything but brown, gold, and white. Every school in division 1 has a grey alternate. It's tired, and us wearing grey just makes us blend in with everyone else.

I'm with you on this, I didn't hate the throwbacks from saturday but they sure weren't anything special in fact pretty damn plain and boring. But they have a good history behind them so I like them for that reason alone. If I had a choice I would go back to the unis that Baily wore and as much as people love Baily they hate those unis so who knows with Wyo fans lol.
 
I have to agree with the posters that love those retro jerseys. I love them too for the following reasons:

1. They are unique
2. They are the school colors

(Most importantly)3. We piled up unprecedented amounts of victories and NCAA tournament success while wearing those jerseys.

Anyone that likes those grey abominations probably likes the camo football jerseys.

You realize Marquette incorporates the checkerboard design down the side of the uni. And people like it. An all grey with a lite yellow, for one isn't even our school colors, two, it is extremely BLAND. And and, I'm sorry, is not attractive. The design was cool, but overall, the throwbacks were by far better. A better representation of our school colors, they were bold, and they also looked mean looking compared to our Bland greys.

That style of uniform is becoming popular again, just take a look at the Jordan uniforms at the high school and college levels. You see a lot of the checkerboard design nowadays. I personally think they are awesome and would love to see the Pokes got back to that style of uni.
 
I wouldn't mind the grey unis if we only wore them like once every year or two as a random alternate. Watching the game in Moby this year with us in grey and CSU in bright orange was painful (outside of our 2nd half performance), think I almost had a seizure watching it.
 
that pumpkin orange is truly a joke!!! if we go back to the Bailey uni's one problem was that damn prairie gold and brown...lol, GO POKES
 
You all keep saying these throwbacks were school colors and the treys are not. The throwbacks had/have orange/red and that horrible gold color we endured a few years ago...

When 95% of your jersey is a non school color. Also when you have an off color (grey) that cannot utilize both of the school colors at the same time, then no. I, and most people can tolerate accent colors (like the tan colored checker, or the "pumpkin" colored check) but when the whole jersey is the accent color...No.
Im not lying, when I say I think our grey unis are decent, but they look more like a practice jersey than an actual game jersey. And personally, I have never been a fan of a jersey that can be identified either as a home jersey or an away jersey.
