Three Wyoming players in this mock draft

Bleacher Report did a mock draft. Three Wyoming players included in this draft, Smith in the 3rd, Herron in the 5th, Huff in the 6th. Impressive. However, like all mock drafts, take them with a grain of salt.

Heard Herron could be a draft time surprise. Some think he could go as high as the late 2nd round.

If there's one thing that all NFL coaches and scouts love, its speed. And Herron is fast.

Herron will depend largely on the combine in my opinion. If he runs in the 4.3 range he could go 2nd round. 4.4 3rd-5th

Herron seems like he has the speed, but does he have the body for it?

Don't need the body for it anymore, He is the perfect slot receiver size with better than average speed.

Who would you rather have? Herron will definitely play in the NFL. I'm more worried about his staying healthy :(

Guys like DeSean Jackson and T.Y. Hilton are smaller than Herron and are dominating......Robert will be a 3rd round pick for a team with a QB whose arm strength is elite.....Seattle, Carolina, etc. Just tell Herron to run a go-route 50+ yards and let Newton throw it a mile. Every team needs a deep threat.

I love Cole Beasley. He's done well so far.

Here's a good link to hang onto:

NFL combines are Feb 22-25. Not sure if they all participate, but let's see if these guys can turn a few heads.

Cole has been great and that is my point someone with even more speed should be snatched right up.

Weird........thought there was no talent on this team.....people saying we had to pick through NDSU's players for talent.... :orly:

No one ever said that, We all knew there was talent the talent was just never coached as strong as it could have been and it's nowhere near enough talent to carry an entire team.

That's what I was talking about with his body. I don't think he can take the NFL beating. I wasn't talking about his 40 time and his height etc. I was talking about if his body if able to take NFL hits.

Herron is bigger though...plus guys like Desean Jackson are tiny

I don't think Herron's lack of size will hurt his draft chances at all considering his elite speed. What it comes down to for Herron is him demonstrating that he can consistently catch the ball! The week in front of scouts at the Senior Bowl is going to be huge for him and he needs to show better hands than we saw at times here at Wyoming.

I wasn't referring to the Wyo faithful :thumb:
