Three Current and Future MWC Teams in the Bottom 10

It’s even worse than that. There are 136 FBs teams. Next year’s MWC has 6 of 9 teams that are 106 or worse. Next year’s MWC would be the lowest rated conference in all of FBS if it existed this year.

Forget next year, the current MWC has 5 at 106 or worse.

It's looking more and more like Boise taking the top G5 spot was an aberration as the AAC is clearly the best non-power conference (4 teams in the top 34 before you get to UNLV at 36) again (and 8 out of the last 10 years) after losing their top 1/3 to the Big XII.

Could be worse.. the FCS Missouri Valley overtook CUSA in conference rankings (according to Sagarin), and the Big Sky is right on their heels.

I think that means we have a great shot at coming in 5th place next year!
A 6-6 record and a ‘bowl game’ next year when our OOC is Northern Colorado, Central Michigan, Colorado State and UCONN and being in the worst FBS conference…will be celebrated as a great achievement by the current athletic department. Reality is, a Joe Glenn team would probably be 9-3 or 10-2 against that pathetic schedule.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we do go 6-6 next year and Sawvel is given an extension if the new President doesn’t give Burman his walking papers.

It is worse. If you take the mean Sagarin ratings of next year’s MWC teams, it is worse than this year’s CUSA, Missouri Valley and Big Sky.

This is Sagarin though...take it with a grain of salt. Not happy about things, surely, but the sky isn't completely falling.

I'm here too. At the end of the day, our TV contract is allegedly set, bowls are set, etc. Other than message boards, I don't think it matters much.

I'm going to get accused of a loser mentality, but this might turm out to be a good thing. Everyone is down on the new conference but we've been in a much better conference previously and a better conference recently. However, we've failed miserably so the better conference didn't help us. Hopefully we get some changes internally and are able to build a little momentum in the new conference.

When the g6 division comes around, we will be positioned decently. Where this could really bite us is if some p4 get kicked to the curb and they reach into g6 to make a new division. Being a super weak conference wont help our chances of getting in the 2nd highest level of cfb. I doubt that happens, though. I think it'll be power whatever in 1 division and then every other fbs school in the next division.

Whoever ad is needs to work hard at ooc, however.

Whereever we are at, if we win a lot it will be fine. So far ... that is seeming like a tall order.
