Thoughts on the Game

1. ACS should be the starter next week. He was the only guy out there who looked like he a pulse out there on offense. The receivers weren't open much, but dammit - ACS seemed to find them. (Even if they dropped the damn ball)

2. I knew the Pokes were weak at the skill positions, but I was shocked at the offensive line play. The quarterbacks were dancing around the entire game and the running game was non-existant against a young defensive line. Those red zone possessions need to be touchdowns.

3. The place kicking game is not acceptable.

4. I thought the offense was bad last year because of the coaching. Nope. It was the recruiting. There's a reason 11 true freshmen are playing right away.

5. At this point, I'm not sure what to make of this team. SOMEBODY needs to step up on offense and decide they want to make a play.

6. The defense is good. Not great - good.

ACS played most the game and did nothing. Screw it, give Sween a legit shot. It doesnt matter who we have a QB tho, our WRs are pathetic.

I say let Sween start his senior year. The poor guy has been throug enough in his 4 years and has never once complained. We have no chance of winning anything of importance this year and I still think he may give us the best shot at QB. Whatever QB plays has no chance without any help at reciever or time to throw..

If this year is a lost cause dont play sween because you feel bad for him play ACS because he will gain experience he has skills and he will only get better we cant win with sween his decisons are absolutly awful he almost threw 3 pics in 2 min and we could have had a TD w him but he threw it to the cheerleaders

Play Cara-Samuels, a no brainer. Sween is a good young man from everything I see and hear but no way he should be considered to start. Benjamin has some talent but he is too indecisive and his passing too suspect for me. The coaches have a tough assignment given our dearth of offensive talent but they can do a lot to improve the kids and educate the team, as a whole, on disciplined football, something the prior staff didn't do a great job of. We can, and will, get better. It's just going to take time and recruiting classes.

From what I saw ACS played the best on Saturday, so I would start him. If I were ACS I would throw it to Orlando Arnold every time, I didn't see him drop a pass, in fact he made some tough catches on less than perfect passes.

Start ACS and throw it to Orlando!

Start ACS and and play Sween to get somebody in there with some pocket passing experience. Benjamin sadly looks lost out there and doesn't seem to have the ability to read defenses at this level (not yet anyway). ACS is certainly the "future" of the program but we need somebody who can read a defense and hit the short routes on a consisitant basis (Sween). We may be in for a very long season.
