My thoughts on the scrimmage and what stood out to me.

let me know what you guys think? What stood out to you? surprised you? needs work?

Thanks!

First, good write-up. Second, looks like the kicking game is coming around. With the current defense, making the field as long as possible for the opposing offense is going to be critical as well as a need to score every time in the red-zone. The Cowboys lost too many close games last year and I suspect many will be decided by 10 points or less this year. Third, looks like we may have a pleasant surprises in the CU WR transfer Darden and JUCO CB Finley. Fourth, would have liked to see JD Krill with a catch or two or compliment the WR play. Fifth- I think the Cowboy run game will continue to be a bit anemic until a few things happen....either we get a couple of truly outstanding lineman, an excellent RB or two on par with the other top shelf MWC RBs, or the offense develops the ability to truly capitalize on an opposing team's efforts to defend against a successful pass attack.

One thing I didn't talk about and I wish I did is that Shaun Wick seems to have gotten faster and quicker. He catches the ball very well and will line up at WR at times. I think he will
Be the guy at RB when it's all said and done

So what's up with Trent Sewell? Guy was our prized offensive recruit in 2012, redshirted, now is not even being mentioned in the conversations of wide receivers. All hype?

Yeah Wick looked like he was the man out there.
I am hoping that he can continue to run the ball well, especially going into Nebraska.
And I hope Tedder Easton gets some starting time. He deserves it. 5th year senior always down on the depth chart, but is a BIG dude and can run hard. He is a bruiser.

I thought the Pokes would have an off day, but they have 2 today! Haha nice, work them over coach!
Riley Lange broke his foot, will be out 4-6 weeks.

And there was a Jets scout at practice along with Bears scout from yesterday.
So far there have been 4 teams scouting up here.

And Brandon Miller will be able to play in the scrimmage on saturday.

To be Honest I didn't even notice Sewell on the field, receivers are so deep it's got to be hard to move up that depth chart. Expect to see Easton on short yardage and to play full back in pass protection. He has had trouble holding on to the ball in the past

Tedder has 13 carries in his career that came in 3 games...how many fumbles does he have?

I know he has one last year against Air Force, he actually got the start in that one too. He also had that mix up against Nevada on third and short when a first down would've won the game. He went one way and the QB went the other... Whose fault that was isn't known. I was thinking there was a fumble on that play, but it was just confusion. I love tedder's size and what he can bring to the table could be key.
