1. Jason Thompson looked good in the first half, and not too bad in the second half.
2. An AFA player took his helmet off, threw his arms out in disgust and disputed a no-call on a kickoff, right in front of a ref in the middle of the field and no call by the ref on what is supposed to be an automatic unsportsman like penalty. Where were these refs in Reno?
3. I looked happy under the goalposts when we went up 27 to 14.
4. Connor Dietz did fake the injury... he was running off the field fine then all the sudden he stops. DC noticed right away during the game and was calling it out right then but the refs did nothing about it. Their trainer tried to get him up several times and he just sat there looking at the sideline.
5. Our scoreboard operators need to be trained NOT to show replays if the call goes our way. If they have already been trained, then they need to be fired and someone who can follow the training needs to replace them. Showing the replay very well may have cost us the game. Afa gets rewarded for faking an injury with extra time to warm up their backup and then given the gift of viewing the replay by our own people. It is obvious on tv that Troy had no idea until the replay showed. Without the replay, he may not call timeout to have it reviewed, and he has to make a decision on 4th and 1, and we may have won if they kicked a field goal or had to run another play.
6. Actually, afa probably would have just FAKED an injury to give the replay officials more time to watch the replay. Why call timeouts? They had so many injuries during the game, they got to influence the momentum quite a bit by lying on the field.
7. COS Cowboy is absolutely right, we should have stuck with the run on the last drive, they didn't come close to stopping it. We were hammering down their throat and we should have kept doing it until they held us to 3 yards or less.
6. The refs missed PI on McNeil on final drive.
7. Connor Dietz not only bobbed his head, but his whole body moved up on the offsides call at the end.
8. Troy Calhoun DID have a shit eating smirk on his face post game and it does, for one, change my opinion of him.
9. I used to like afa even though they always seem to get the benefit of bad officiating (see 2 losses in Glenn era due to a "fumble" when the arm hitting the ground is what caused the fumble and another when the defender leg whips to try to trip our rb and kicks the ball out of ours hands.) but now they not only get the bad calls to go their way, but they get to fake injuries and the qb gets to move under center. I know they were desperate for a win, but I don't like how they got there.
10. We need to score more than 3 points in the 2nd half if we expect to win any games.
11. It sucks to be 1 play away from winning 4 games HALF WAY through the season. ugh, we need to finish a 4th qtr drive, or make more 4th qtr stops.
12. I'm sick of 'almost' winning.
