This team is still a mystery to me

I can't tell if we are going to challenge for the championship or duke it out with CSU for 6th place.

We have been oscillating pretty wildly so far. D shows up, D is non-existent! O plays sharp, O can't get it done!

Bottom line is, I don't know what the hell we have right now.

Anyone else confused?

My biggest worry is how they come out of the bye week. It didn't turn out so well for them the last time. I'm hoping that the players and coaches learned from the USU fiasco to make this bye week more productive.

I don't know if it was so much the bye week as it was not having the defense show up at all. You are right though, I hope they have learned and don't repeat it.

My biggest fear is we cannot stop the run. Then we'll have to over compensate and that will open up the passing game. If this happens we'll get ran over just like we did at USU.

We need to go out to SDSU and hit hard right off the bat. Shut them down. The offense needs to quit running on 2nd and 20 and pass the ball a bit. Work on averaging 4 / 5 yards a play on offense and build up a healthy lead at half time. Then run the clock out the second half to make sure the second half adjustments by SDSU don't burn us.

I"ll do you one better.

Don't put yourself in a 2nd & 20 situation in the first place.

Make second half adjustments of your own and continue to build on a lead if you have it instead of hoping time winds down before SDSU comes back. That's how you lose, ask SDSU.

We won't have a halftime lead though I fear, and will probably have a couple 2nd & 20s... :|

This article about sums it up for me......truth is, Wyoming's toughest opponents are ahead of them. Of course an upset could occur, but is very unlikely. I'm expecting a 5-7 or 6-6 finish depending on what happens in that CSU game.

Yeah, not gonna lie, I have a feeling we won't get over 6 wins. On the other hand, 6-6 or 5-7 doesn't look nearly as ugly as 3-9. I REALLY hope CSU doesn't manage to find motivation for the Border War, but considering that revenge will be on their minds...

CSU has a lackluster offense that can't even get motivated against CU after 1 drive. They have a decent defense, but that's really about it.

Colorado State - 35
Utah State - 34

Wyoming - 19
Utah State - 63

No offense, but this is not going to prove anything.

Just saying....its easy to razz on the Rammies, but its not like Wyoming has fared much better. That's gonna be a tough game.

Well, anything within a couple scores wouldn't have proved anything. 6+ TD difference? Yeah, that kinda does...

Ha, let's compare NM scores in a few weeks. I think our game vs csu will end up being their bowl game like it was for us last year. I think both teams will be up for it which should make it fun to watch.

I agree, i thought the ut st game was going to be a good gauge for where we are, but then we didn't show up so it is hard to know how good we really are. We should know more after Saturday night. I think by the end of the afa game we will know whether we are a legit bowl team threat or not. Im just glad these 2 bye weeks are over, only 2 games in a month is hard to take. Thank goodness I have had state volleyball to keep me occupied during the down time.
