Anyone that suggests dropping to FCS is a good idea knows jack shit about the college athletics landscape.

Kind of like someone who thinks Wyoming will ever win a Mountain West championship in football.

Are you even a "fan" of Wyoming football? Why exactly are you here? I am glad that the majority (almost all) of our fans and athletic donors don't share your defeatist attitude.

I damn well do believe and expect that we will win a Mountain West Conference Championship sometime in the near future.

Should've could've, but how big of loss was Texas state. Losing to rival in the conference is somewhat of a pass (not by thirty) but.... that game KILLED us

I used to share that we will win a championship sentiment. In fact I began saying it in 1998. Now I'm a little more realistic.

And yes, I am a fan. Former season ticket holder. Closet full of Wyoming gear. Name your cliche. I'm just sick of this broken record. I'm sick of "waiting until next year." I'm sick of mediocrity. Hell, maybe we can't compete at the FCS level. But we don't know that for sure. One thing we know for sure is we will never be more than average at the FBS level. When making the New Mexico Bowl every four years qualifies as something to celebrate, I question the state of our program.
