I wouldn't bring it up, but they're talking about this everywhere.

If Utah/BYU/TCU leaves, all our BCS dreams are DONE.

Utah may go to PAC-10, along with Colorado (BYU is not going to PAC-10)
If Colorado goes, the Big 12 will go after TCU.
If that both happens, I don't know why BYU would want to stay in the conference. Go Independent?

I think the MWC needs to act now. The MWC is on the cusp of breaking the BCS, but they need to make some moves so that the members know in two years that they will be in the BCS - and they would be the top dogs in a BCS conference, rather than the new pups.

As for CSU and Wyoming - neither one will get a BCS invite. Sorry. They're tied at the hip and will ALWAYS be in the same conference.

I've still yet to see anything credible that Utah is actually leaving. The Pac-10 is CONSIDERING expansion. All conferences do from time to time. But there hasn't been one credible source that has actually come out and said yes, Utah as an expansion candidate and we're looking at them very seriously.

If the Pac was to expand, yes Utah would probably be one of the teams. But there is still the huge question of who the second team will be. Would CU actually leave the Big-12? Doubtful? BYU is a non-starter. Would the Pac lower their standards and possibly take UNLV purely on potential?

There are still a lot of big questions out there and I think most likely the Pac will consider it but at the end of the day they will stand pat.

Most teams have been in the same conference for decades, I don't foresee this huge cataclysmic shift in conference membership that many are talking about.

No they won't. That would create too much competition for the in-state Texas recruits. TCU deserves it, but it won't happen.
