What we do is;
Get a bag of frozen dinner rolls (36, 72, however many you want)
A couple pounds of hamburger (93/7 is what we usually get)
onion soup mix (in the packages, 3-4, depending on tastes)
And 2-3 packages of sauerkraut (other people use shredded cabbage)
Put the dinner rolls out to thaw out and preheat oven according to directions on package
Cook the hamburger, and then drain the grease (we use wadded paper towels)
Then add the onion soup mix and sauerkraut, stir until well mixed
After the dinner rolls have thawed out, you can either use a rolling pin or your hands to flatten each one out
Add the hamburger mix into the middle. Not too much, or else you'll stretch the dough too thinly. Trial and error for amounts.
Wrap the dough around the hamburger until it is enclosed.
Put the hamburger filled rolls onto a non-stick cookie sheet (or spray a regular one) and put in oven for recommended time.
Let cool off for about 15-20 minutes.
You now have bierocks.
A lot of other recipes add things like margarine, peppers, and what not, but what we do is simple, tasty, and easy to make. We've made dozens of them at a time. And you can easily pop them in the freezer for long term storage. If you feel you need to add something more, be my guest.
