Did you see the game last night?

Lembo's halftime adjustments looked eerily similar to something we have all been witnessing in Laramie. And so did Ball State's defense. I was surprised - first time I had seen Ball State this season.

So if the guy loses a game, then he's just not the guy for you, huh?
I don't know a coach who makes Massive halftime adjustments like you think they should.

I didn't try to stir anything. I asked you a question. I'm not sure what fans are actually expecting halftime adjustments to be. I'm an offensive coord myself, so please, enlighten me? This so far is just showing me that no matter what I write you see it as negative.

I posted that this was the first time I had seen Ball State this season. I watched the entire game. Ball State looked much different in their approach the second half, vs. the first half. It was like they (Lembo) put the brakes on - and turned conservative. When in reality, I think it was NIU's adjustments, and Ball States lack of doing the same, that made the second half run as it did. I have been around football coaching as well for the greater part of 10 years - and although I am currently not involved (nor will never be again), I am far from being just an uneducated fan of the game and it's inner-workings. The Ball State / NIU game was very similar to what I saw of Wyoming / Texas State and Wyoming / Fresno State.

Okay. Makes more sense. I myself only saw a small part of that game so I didn't know. But I had seen a few of their earlier where it seemed they continued to call the exact same game in the second half and still ran away with it. But, it was their biggest game of the year, did you happen to notice if talent was an issue on one side or another? How was BSU's players effort in the second half? We're they running what seemed like their same offense and the players just weren't making plays or rather did the play calling change significantly?

Given the disaster of yesterday I wouldn't count on getting a new coach anytime soon. The interim president said in effect the firings are halted. That breeze you felt coming out of Laramie was a collective sigh of relief by the entrenched staff and faculty. The pressure is off the administration to change things in football. It sucks, but it looks like that the way it is.

I'm afraid you are exactly right. I'm also afraid that if they do make a change, it will be a Heath Shroyer type of hire. They'll pay him way less than DC and we'll get what we pay for. Frankly I think our only hope at this point is that DC figures out what went wrong in the off season and somehow corrects it next year. It's near hopeless, but that is the best case scenario.
