I tend to agree. I also think we need a name coach...even if they didn't have great success at their last, big school. Davie hasn't won a lot, yet, but UNM looks like it is on its way. When Robinson went to UNLV, they had their best years (not saying a lot, but it is something). Cutcliffe at Duke.

Say Muschamp gets whacked. Or Mullen at Mississippi State. Or Bielema at Arkansas.

So Muschamp was the D-Coordinator @ Texas, then took the Florida head coaching job.
If he gets fired from Florida, would he accept a BCS D-Coordinator job, or a non-BCS head coaching job?

I don't want franchione anyway, he's a program builder but even TSU will be done with him soon.

My practical wish list:
Pete Lembo Ball State
Craig Bohl (NDSU'S)
Ted Gilmore (Raiders)
Rod Carey (NIU)

People I want who might get fired
Beliema (doubt he does get fired)
Mike Leach (doubt he gets fired)
Dan Mullen

All in all I'd say Dan Mullen is my top realistic choice because I think he's done at MissState

Although Pat Hill got stale in Fresno, he can flat out recruit, especially the "diamonds in the rough". He also doesn't let his star QB's get so beat up that they are tentative.

Every "O" player on the field for Fresno last night, except got RB, was recruited by PH. Davante Adams the Wr & Jensen the TE were basically only recruited by Fresno. PH is a great judge of talent, he recruits athletic ability first...

somth'in to think about.... He's not perfect, but his teams always have talent

And always under achieved too.

Pete Lembo at Ball State might be a good option. He's making $350k a year and is currently sitting at 9-1. Has a history of turning programs around. He runs a spread offense.

The difference is when they underachieved they still won.

We underachieve and we suck. Big difference.
