The "new" Infamous catch

I've watched that tip against Boise top end the half quite a few times and honestly, I don't think you can blame Gipson for that ball being caught for a td. It seemed to me that gipson was actually in line with it to get the pick, but, Huff tipped it causing it to go over Gipson who bobbled it into the hands of the BSU receiver.
I gotta blame Huff on this one.
Any takers?

I didn't think it was either... but my problem is and I put it in Pokes and Chokes Gipson said if there was a QB he wanted to pick it was Kellen Moore, I believe that Gipson was in it all for himself at the time and that was the reason for him not swatting it down. :thumbdown:
 
That catch was a freak accident and should have never happened. Our defenders did a good job of breaking up that pass, and frankly, if someone had intercepted it we wouldn't be having this conversation. I doubt that would happen twice in a college athletes football career.

What is even more remarkable to me is Kellen Moore's hail mary pass while running - that he was able to get it that even that close.

I don't think it was a touchdown though.
 
He couldn't knock it down. And when you see the replay from the front view, when gipson jumps it seems that the ball would have been hitting him in the chest, then Huff runs and jumps in front and apparently tips the ball which screws with Gipsons timing and it goes over his head. He then reaches back to get to the ball but is completely off balance and can not keep possession of the ball, and then sadly falls right on top of the BSU player.
It looks like it would've been an easy pick for Gipson until then.
Again, i gotta put the blame on Huff for this one.
