Anyone who thinks we compete on the same level as the P5 or will someday have a chance at some hypothetical P5 playoff is delusional. Even in an 8 team playoff UCF would not have gotten a spot and no they are not giving a non P5 team an automatic qualification.

If they were smart they would. It's obvious that we have never competed with the same bankroll you're right. But what makes March madness so great. It's the upsets the unpredictably. The fact that 32 conferences have a legitimate shot to play for it all. It blows my mind that College basketball has had it right for over 75 years. It's the best postseason in all of sports. All while college football has ALWAYS been a shit show. It's not the fans that are delusional it's the higher ups that continue to give us bull shit champions
