the mtn. Shutting Down

I liked watching nearly all of the Pokes' games on TV, but aside from Marius Peyton and 1 or 2 others, all the announcers sucked. And aside from All 22 and Around the Mountain, most of the shows were not worth watching.

My fear is that there won't be nearly as much exposure. How many games would New Mexico have had on TV this year without the mtn? How about Wyoming? CSU? If CBS Sports doesn't carry as many games as the mtn did they damn sure better have some secondary rights in place so we can watch our teams play!
 
TheMTN was great for the "smaller" schools in the conference.. those not named Utah, BYU, and Boise. I'll miss it.. only way I could watch Wyoming games, as was the case for many people who read this board.
 
We'll see what happens, but I have a bad feeling about this. We could start to see mid-week football games with weird start time games as well. I am one who will miss The Mtn channel.
 
Just when I had gotten used to actually being able to watch Wyoming games. I doubt I'll be able to see half as many games as I saw this year and last. Super bummed about this. Production value was embarrassing but I didn't watch for that, only to see the Brown and Gold compete.
 
I just switched to Directv so I could get the HD feeds because our local cable company were douches. Now its gone. :(
 
I will miss the coverage of Pokes sports but an alliance with CBS Sports could be better overall for the conference. I hope the schools like Wyoming, New Mexico and CSU don't get blackballed by The MTN going dark.
 
This will get better exposure for the MWC as a whole but you can kiss goodbye the seasons of every Pokes game being on TV those are probably for the most part now long gone.

I was a huge fan of watching the pokes on tv every weekend, but maybe more people go to the games now? I know I could definitely make a few more each year. RS to laramie is nothing, except when they have dumb night games. Those are worthless.
 
Ya but Scottsdale to Laramie is out of my reach shit just sucks I really hope we get a solid amount of Televised games.

This network was good for awhile, but to not go HD full time something was wrong there and thought it'd be a matter of time b4 they pulled the plug....hope we sign a deal with ESPN where we belong!!!

Then get ready for only a couple of televised games a year, and they will probably be on a Wed. night :thumbdown:
