The Laramie Dome

Wyo2dal, it's best if we just say that Kansas is the greatest cowboy fan of all time and all of his opinions are the correct ones

Not at all. But I can state my opinions just like you and everyone else.

You know, like stating my opinion on dropping capacity, and then you and others lambasting me. But, you know, whatever. You can step on others toes if you'd like, but if they do it to you, then it's on! Right?

It's all in good clean fun, everyone has opinions it would suck if everyone on these forums felt the same way wiith the only exception being passion for our pokes!

Some of you just shouldn't comment on threads when the only thing you plan on doing is being aggressive assholes.

indoor kid comment probably not the dumbest thing I have read on here but not very witty either. You wouldn't have been outside enjoy the weather on snowdays in Rock Springs or you wouldn't be here posting this.

When a thread is hypothetical take your logic and stick it up your ass. There isn't one person on this forum that would quit going to Wyoming games if they got a 100 million dollar dome.

BTW 1 punt to hit the Dallas Big screen isn't exactly a large amount.

The entire thing about hypothetical is we all know it's not really going to happen.

First, this topic never got hypothetical until Ragtimejoe brought up the retractable dome.
Before that it was everyone, including myself stating pro or con and what happened in the past about a potential dome. Besides you were just as aggressive as me.

2. I wasn't trying to be witty. I just stated something, and thought better of it after the fact and offered my apologies. And I've read it over and over and still can't make heads nor tails of your comment about my snow days in Rock Springs.

3. Again this topic wasn't really hypothetical to begin with. I will stick my logic where ever I please, even if I so choose to shove it up your ass.

4. I was making a joke about the punt to hit the screen in Dallas.

We had a thread of people stating their own opinions on whether pro or against a dome. I stated mine and you began to start in on my comment. I just returned the favor. Argue, debate, opinion and hypothetical conversation, that's what a forum is for.

to me it has always been hypothetical because it would never happen, heh I have no bad feelings about opinions on these forums but I never thought it was a serious thread.

At least my coaching career has a decent winning percentage like his. To bad my coaching hasn't lead me to Laramie... yet.

Dome, no dome. Pipe dream, feasible. Should, should not. This could go on for awhile.

I say, let's start somewhere. Sell beer AND whiskey at the stadium. I have noticed that often, as long as those two were available, I didn't notice the dives I was in or if it was particularly cold out.

Look at all of those gray t-shirts people have on in the crowd. It almost looks like aluminum.

Yup, I've seen my share of several pregame sparse crowds...

Pregame is 13:28 left in the fourth quarter? Pretty damn sparse on Saturday.

You mean after the however long double lightning delay?

Because that place was packed at the beginning of the game.

I think we need to revisit our lightning technology or review the policy. I don't know what the answer is, but the delays suck, and have really sucked the last 5 or so years.

Also - and I hate to say this - UW needs to really evaluate how things are done on gameday. Maybe a combination of serving beer and improved concessions (and choices) along with not allowing re-admittance. That would help solve the half-time exodus. I have started to see the trend / culture of a large amount of fans leaving at halftime to get their drink on (and eat good food), and either not returning, or returning well after the start of the 3rd quarter.

We 're not the only ones to suffer loss of attendance for lightning. All schools do. We were Texas St. Biggest game last year, they had 21k there. Lightning delay... And then they had a couple thousand down to a couple hundred by the end of the game.

Retractable dome = no lightning delays. Ever.

Which means attendance up. Which means more concessions. Which means more people drinking. Which means more crowded piss troughs. Which means more waiting in lines. Which means more time in the wind. Which would be solved by......yep. A retractable dome.

The lightning delay didn't stop people from going to the game, which was evidenced by the near-sellout crowd. Attendance wouldn't go up because of it.

Not high speed rails.........an old fashioned steam engine pulling passenger cars and selling beer

One out of Cheyenne and one out of Casper
