Then why is ESPN coming here in November if they hate it so much?djm19 said:I don't give a crap that "football is supposed to be played outside" stuff. Fact: weather in Laramie isn't an "advantage" when it makes our guys slower too, fumble too and have 8k people in attendance. Espn hates coming to Laramie in the fall also.

Is that why I count only three in favor of a dome on this thread and 9 against, and a few that didn't state either way. That's just this thread.
I have to say that this fan base is pathetic, as much as it complains about weather. Laramie is in WYOMING! Mountain state. Cold falls and even colder winters! Most everyone there either mines, or does the oilfield or some other sort of outside job. People go and hunt through fall and winter. Ice fish, snowmobile, and you're telling me we can't handle a football game for a few hours one day every other week?
Seems pointless.

Hunting and snowmobiling are quite different than sitting, watching. You're actively moving, engaging, and keeping yourself warm. And a lot of ice fishermen sit in a "domed over" fishing hut. Sitting on hard ass metal bleachers, not moving, is not even close to the same thing. Just saying. :twocents:kansasCowboy said:Wyo2dal said:For every fan that hates the thought of a Dome in Laramie there are 10 fans that would be likely to attend if they didn't have to fight the harsh winter elements specially when you are talking about families.

The Virginian said:I believe the "Coors offered to build a dome" is an urban myth.
I was at UW when an effort was made to complete the dome stadium project back during Fred Aker's tenure as HC. The upper east and west stands were built as the sides of an eventual domed stadium. It was the Wyoming legislature that balked at finishing the job.

So basically what your saying is every Wyoming fan is in this thread? Hate to tell you buddy there are a lot of Wyoming fans that aren't in this thread and when I'm talking about more fans I'm talking about families that skip dragging kids out in cold weather.
