...can't start soon enough.

Mr. Smith is fatally flawed.

In every aspect....at least with Thompson you get D1 arm strength

Peace

Brett is a great QB and a great competitor, but has lost his faith in the coaching staff

Brett hasn't had a good game against a quality opponent except one Texas game and Nebraska.

Doesn't help Brett when the offensive line may as well not even exist. Putting this on Brett is stupid, we have maybe 5 guys playing OL right now.

Brett is a solid QB. But I feel that we overrate him at times. He makes questionable decisions at times and as noted above Nebraska is really the only good opponent he has looked good against. He can light it up against inferior opponents but seems to be a nonfactor against everyone else.

Great???????

that's fucking hilarious. He's actually not very good. Low standards here at U-Dub. The Sween, Carta-Samuels, Benjamin, Doss, Crum and whatever the dude that transferred to Indiana States name was will blind a keen eye like yours.

He's grossly inaccurate past a 7 yard route. Seriously

Calling for Smith's spot is a tad extreme.....but there is a case to be made that Brett Smith is the MWC's most overrated player of the year.

Extreme???....maybe. Watch warm-ups sometime, Smith can't throw it into windows that Thompson can. With his reduced "effective" running the offense is a little hand-cuffed.

Peace

Exactly. Our tissue paper O-line is a huge part of the problem. That gets in a QB's head every time the ball is snapped.

Especially when it only takes 3 guys to get pressure on him.

he had all the time in the world when he threw the pick into triple coverage.
I'm a fan of his, I just don't put him on a pedestal like some want to. If anyone thinks we lose him to the NFL next year...wrong. He still needs a lot of work.

Brett is starting to become one of those fiery QBs like Taylor Martinez that is awesome when he's confident, not so awesome when he is not confident. Brett performs to the level of his confidence.

I'm not so sure this is a manifestation of over-rated skills as much as it points to being rattled and shaken confidence.

I still think Smith has some pretty serious skills. Even Winston's or Manziel's production would drop with Smith's line and coach.

you still have to make the play's when they are there or check down, he didn't move his eye's once on that play, easy pick

Speaking of QB's, it was nice to see ACS with another 4th quarter comeback for the second week in a row for Vandy. Too bad our D can't keep us close enough to see Brett lead us to a 4th quarter comeback.

Our D did a serviceable job today, The Brett led O did not. I still love the kid and thank him for being a Cowboy, but don't throw this on the D! And fuck ACS, he didn't want to be a Cowboy!
