The Fall of Wyonation

I remember when there was only one message board full of assholes and crazies and then Wyonation came along and saved us from that chaos. It was the best message board I've seen for a long time.

People had discussions, people were all about Wyoming athletics, people were together as Pokes.

Now all this board has become is a bunch of angry bickering, a profane-laden joke. I have no idea why all the hostility all of a sudden. It's disappointing, I have become increasingly frustrated with the actions of Cowboy fans.

I used to read posts to find links to articles, see what insight some fans have, especially the funny dudes who made me laugh. Now I read through and it's just a bunch of hate. I don't dig hate, and I'm out.

Problem is Wyoming football has become too mediocre for us old-timers to put up with.

25 years since our last outright Conference Championship!!!! I don't mind a bad season once in a while but all of this losing and teams were the offense works but the defense doesn't OR the complete visa versa has driven me crazy!!!!

NO WYTOMING TEAM SHOULD EVER EVER LOSE TO CAL POLY OR TO TEXAS STATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it was a loss, I could see it, but people are freaking out because of a win!

Quit living in the past and actually live in the present then. I could care less if we blow a 50 point lead if you win a game you win a game it doesn't matter what the score is they all count the same. We have a winning team there is no need to complain for winning two thirds of your games when this program has rarely ever had that.

Regardless of how a football team playing a game makes us feel, we have a choice when it comes to how we treat other people.

In the big picture, this is still just a game. If we find ourselves treating other people like dirt over a game, we've lost sight of what's important.

Oregon State lost to Eastern Washington and didn't fire their coach. Since then they are 5-0. Wyoming should not have lost to Tx St. but we did. You want to fire the coach after every loss????

We did blow the 21 point lead (thanks for calling me a twerp especially when this whole 'no more personal attacks' stuff is going on) but we still won. Hard to blame DC when our punt returner muffs a return.

And I have done research on this program, we have had small pockets of success over a couple of short periods, but overall the program is not that great. We are 492-522 in our history that is hardly a good program. We are going in the right direction and DC was a good hire and will have us competing for conference titles regularly within the next 3 years.
