I guess it is just as well. Maybe it gives us more time to prepare for next season. I sure am getting tired of "wait till next season". From what I hear, we will be better - we have to be, we can't be any worse.
 
Hell of a time to get that first conference win!

On another note, the CSU women upset Utah in the first round of the women's tournament today.. could this be clear sailing for the Cowgirls?
 
It didn't work out for the Cowgirls either. They lost to SDSU last night and are out as well. Not sure what that does to their NCAA Tourney hopes.
 
There is one main thing that a Cowgirl opponent can have that seems to always give them trouble - that is speed. They seem to be able to handle height inside if the opponent is not too physical. Combine opponent speed with some good shooting (by talent or luck) and the Cowgirls are in trouble.

If the Cowgirls get into the NCAA's and go against speed again, they are out. You can't coach away flatfootedness.

Joe needs to recruit some quick players that have potential, them coach them into good players.

When playing in the NIT last year, all the good quick teams made it to the Big Dance, leaving the NIT with teams that the Cowgirls could handle.

At least that is my observation.
