The ceiling win wise

Despite all that happened yesterday, I still think 7 wins isn't out of the real of possibility. Hopefully we can beat CSU, and Air Force, both look pretty down in comparison to their past seasons. For some reason UC Davis scares me, even more so with how they played Oregon. If we don't collapse in the 4th we can definitely beat the blue ponies as well.

It looks like another down year in the MW. The only teams that look strong is Boise and SDSU. We should compete with the rest. This should be a good year to learn to win in the conference.

It all depends on how the guys bounce back from the game yesterday. Particularly Allen. If they can put the game behind them, while keeping what they learned, they should be okay.

Hopefully they focus on the good. Yeah they can hang their heads but they played good for 45 mins. Allen showed he can put mistakes pass him with that touchdown drive after the first int. We will see, i do believe Allen is to talented to let this game effect him to much. Hoping the the best with him. If they play like they did against NIU though then our conference games can be winnable in almost all but maybe Boise and SDSU. Go Pokes!

It is certainly possible, but let's beat UC-Davis and Directional Michigan first. Then the bowl talk can really take off.

I agree. Take care of business first i.e., beating Cal Davis AND EMU then....start talking bowls.

Haha agreed on that, I just made it back home with the lady safe and sound from Lincoln. We decided to bar crawl in DT Lincoln, fun time last night. The next day wasn't so much lol.

First, they need to clear their collective heads and put the game behind them. Second, they need to address the production charts and work on third downs and mid-defense pass coverage. Most of their big plays were YAC on short to medium passes. Lastly, they need to stay focused on the game in right front of them, not the ones queued past the next one, nor the past ones.

UNM lost to NMSU, Boise State barely held off Wazzou in a high-scoring game, and SDSU escaped with a win in another high scorer. The vaunted, top-of-the-league teams' defenses appear a but suspect at this point. Additionally, CSEwe had trouble at home against UTSA. Their QB's and defense appear to have regressed from last season. AFA is definitely not playing at last season's level, and they are having issues adjusting to the new chop-block guidance being used by officials.

I'd say the season's still pretty wide open...

NIU was completely obliterated last night. They are not a solid team in 2016. Wyoming can't take anyone for granted.

Time to focus on getting to 2-1 against UC Davis and that's it. They've got a pretty potent offense, especially putting up 28 points and almost 400 yards of offense against Oregon. Bohl and Co. need to have this team ready to go and focused on a potent offense.

UC-Davis gave up 650+ total yards to a team named the Southern Oregon Raiders. If Wyoming can't score 50+ against these guys, I'll be blown away. But again, we've been caught with our pants down before. Haven't plastered an FCS school in several years.

Oregon's defense is a bit suspect. UVA, which got skunked by Richmond, put 20 on them. In Autzen.

Outside of Nebraska's DL which just about completely shut down Brian Hill and our need to shore up our pass defense, it looks to me like there are just correctable, fairly minor mistakes to deal with. I thought several of our passes that were incompletions - should have been caught (some of which were game changers). If we keep improving and correcting the mistakes, I think we can take UC Davis. I haven't heard of any major injuries.

I heard josh had his ankle taped and wasn't the same after

UVA put up 20 at home vs Richmond, then scored 26 in Eugene.

I imagine it affected his mobility, but I doubt it had much affect on his decision making (I.E throwing picks).

Mea culpa, I remembered incorrectly.

Nonetheless, it's not flattering to Oregon's defense.

Yeah I think their defense is total garbage. No bias there I'm sure.

Bad ankle can throw off a QB both physically and mentally. Watched it happen to Russell Wilson today. Might have possibly thrown off Allen too.
