First, they need to clear their collective heads and put the game behind them. Second, they need to address the production charts and work on third downs and mid-defense pass coverage. Most of their big plays were YAC on short to medium passes. Lastly, they need to stay focused on the game in right front of them, not the ones queued past the next one, nor the past ones.
UNM lost to NMSU, Boise State barely held off Wazzou in a high-scoring game, and SDSU escaped with a win in another high scorer. The vaunted, top-of-the-league teams' defenses appear a but suspect at this point. Additionally, CSEwe had trouble at home against UTSA. Their QB's and defense appear to have regressed from last season. AFA is definitely not playing at last season's level, and they are having issues adjusting to the new chop-block guidance being used by officials.
I'd say the season's still pretty wide open...
