That's on Coach

You've got a 6'5" qb with a big arm and you set up about 4 or 5 designed run plays for him in the first quarter. I would have been surprised if he didn't get hurt.

He's a scrambling QB. Are you as cautious with a QB on an option team? Seriously, what's the difference? It was an unexpected injury. It happens. Get over it already.

I thought it was scary how much they ran the 3rd string QB on running plays. It set up a TD late but in our current situation its just sooooo risky. If he gets hurt the team could get...gulp.....even worse. Sorry guys this season is gonna be ROUGH. :grenade:

If I was at the front of the Fire Bohl bandwagon, would you still be telling me tenure has bearing? Highly unlikely.

Hang tough, Josh cause we got's ourselves a fired up pitchfork wielding mob on this here board. Some are pretty unrealistic and very ornery cusses. They want it and they want it her and they want it now - like in right now. But many don't understand or fail to acknowledge that we has ourselves very little impact-oriented football players on the roster this present day. So they vent. Let em' vent. At least they care. Even if they had delusions of grandeur prior to the season thinking Bowl Games and such misguided talk. So what does it say about their ability to recognize talent? In turn they turn on Craig Bohl. On other days they heap invective on Tom Burman. No matter who they blame I think they know we're not a real good football team presently. You want the pleasure you gotta get through some pain, baby. Speaking of babies, the gestation period is 9 months I believe? Ya gotta plant the seeds, tend to the crop, then see the fruits your hard labor has given to you. Ain't no magic wands. Ain't no shortcuts building anything...including a football team. You going to law school currently, Josh? Me neither, but lets say you hired someone still full of shit, he don't know shit, he's only been in law school for 2 years...you expect that sumbitch to win your case against a seasoned and veteran trial litigator? Course not. How about good wine? They make that stuff in 8-9 months? Maybe they do, I don't know, but I don't think so. Have I mentioned we ain't got a lot of talented players on our team yet? Are you prepared to admit that Josh...I'll be by your side buddy. Well if that's the case then how in the name of Lloyd Eaton are we gonna be expected to win many games these days? Ain't no quick CFB mix in any flavor that can be purchased off the shelf of any Walmart to help us, Josh. This is about work. Lots of it. It's about the churn, baby. It's about principals and conviction. It's about staying the course, running the race, developing your program. Where was I? Oh yeah, let em' vent, it's good for em'. Just stop pretending Craig Bohl is any good cause he ain't. And Burman? Tom Burman? He's the reason we lost in the first round of last year's NCAA Basketball Tournament. That's a fact. Son.

Dino, it might be time to call your local doctor about the recent enhancements products you've been using cause you're still experiencing a BOHLGASM!

Oh well....today sucks, but the sun will rise tomorrow.

There is always basketball! :D

I'm not sure what's unrealistic about beating an FCS team and a team that's worse than an FCS team that haven't won an out of conference road game since 1988... Did I mention they scored 38 points in the first half?

Question: Is this a good football team with talented football players up and down the roster?

I'll await your answer.

My name is; Yabadabadoo.

Fred Flintstone, I was harping on the apparent lack of talent on this team far earlier before you did this off-season. I'm not saying that's not a contributing factor, but absolving Bohl of all fault these last two weeks is disingenuous.

Rich. A fucking transplant from New York and a Bohl deciple( neither of which have been here for more than a season or two) telling us that we have to see a NAIA quality team before we can expect progress. Fuck off!

You misunderstand me and you need to look closer at my postings.

Has Bohl coached his team to 100% flawless capacity the last 2 weeks? No.

Did I not question why they did not go for 2 last week after their second TD which would have made it a 10 point game? I did, sir.

Just today did I ask why Ethan Wood is not getting a shot at kicks? I did, sir. I also wondered why Aaron Young was not inserted late in today's game to get him some reps, in addition to why Joe Parker and Justice Murphy were getting carries today.

Does any of this move me from the confidence I have in Craig Bohl?

Not in the least.

I recognize we have an entire forest to cut down before we begin to see any appreciable light.

This is gonna take some time. I'm willing to wait and watch the process unfold.

Believe me you, the moment I believe Bohl isn't the answer I'll be here to say so.

Across from the feedlot, just outside the town where half the people are related to eachother.

Well, that's what I think of whenever I hear "Kansas", and not without reason...

I believe the Kansas philosophy is "nothing says loving like marrying your cousin".

The same philosophy applies in Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, and l parts of Kentucky and Tennessee.

DINO, with all due respect, and all kidding aside, you ask if many of these kids have any talent (you have listed several names of players in multiple threads like Nick Smith and wonder why they are playiing), and I can tell you that many of the young guys not only look lost, they look like they have never been coached - almost like they have never played football before.

So my question to you is this - who handed out the scholarships to these kidss? Last time I checked it was Bohl who recruited these guys. He's the one who took the freshman route and eschewed JC transfers. I don't get it. You yourself criticize many of the players today, yet Bohl is the savior? Somebody needs to take responsibility for having guys out on that field who don't belong in D1. I'm no coach, and I'm certainly no expert, but I have watched football for many, many years and there are kids out there that I seriously don't believe have the skill sets either physically or mentally to cut it at this level. So, please explain to me how a guy who is supposed to be a living "football god" can miss on this many kids. I don't think it's the kids' fault, it all falls on the coaching staff and an inability to teach even the most fundamental elements like tackling and blocking. This is a world class shit show and Craig Bohl and his fellow coaches need to take a long look in the mirror because they are letting these players down. Fuck us fans, can you imagine what these players feel being thrown to the wolves like this (and we aren't even playing any difficult opponents yet).

I'm not calling for Bohl to be fired, but I guarantee you it's time he started micromanaging his staff and figure out what is going on. He and Vigen and Stanard and the rest of the crew need to be on the hot seat. They recruited these kids. They have been coaching these kids. They work with them every day. They draw up the game plan. And when those kids hit the field it's like WTF? I won't give up on the kids, but I will not hesitate to call out a piss poor performance by a coaching staff. Not only are the players in over their heads, but a lot of the coaches are as well. End of rant.

WOW! That just summed up where I live! I mean spot on, no joke.
The other ones a bit derogatory by Bladerunner... In fact that is one state east. They call it Ar-Kansas...
