Texas Game? Texas Game? Don't Talk About Texas Game!

I know the cottonwoods, growing up in northern Wyoming we had them everywhere. Now, I love the tall pine, cedar, etc that we have around here. Have you been to Western MT or do you hang around Eastern MT mostly?

I've driven through there once back in 2000 when we moved from Alaska (through Seattle) to eastern Montana. Right now, our vacations always consist of heading south to Texas so our son can get some grandparent and cousin time. But he graduates this year, so we're planning on heading west now.

Do a trip through Glacier Park and Flathead Lake, if you go about mid to end of July you can go pick Flathead cherries. You won't regret the vacation.

What do you do with them? Do you make jelly, preserves, or pie with them?

I eat 'em right off the stem. :) My girlfriend and I aren't really the baking type, so we just eat them. My Mom does some pie, as does my sister. When we were up there last week we picked probably 50 lbs.

There's a lot of other berries for the bears to eat other than the well protected Flathead cherries. They snack on huckleberries and chokecherries more, I imagine. Not to say they probably don't break into a few orchards and sneak some cherries, as a lot of the orchards are pinned up against the forest and I'm not sure if they're well fenced off or not. They'd probably have to be to keep the deer and elk out.

WAY OFF TOPIC...

This thread needs to be re-named the "montana survival guide".

Come on, Titleist

No Shit! Hilarious. We start out talking about how Weber State is the most important game in our "not-even-started" season, then talk about the amount of Texass fans will be in attendance, then, for some damn reason Eastern vs. Western Montana...and onto fricken' Cherries for shitz sake. What is next, are we going to exchange recipes?

I have a great one for muscadine jelly if you want it.

Sweet. The thread demise continues. But what about, as Jacky Don Tucker drank at a young age (9 I believe)...Muscadine Wine?

The Weber fans on CS.com are still babbling about how this will be a great win for them. They're fully expecting back to back wins vs. Wyoming and CSU. I expect the Cowboy defense will probably beat the 4th Place Sisters as badly as they beat the Bison last year.

Wow, where have I been?

Those are black (bing) cherries up there, they call 'em lamberts, and yes they are great right off the tree. Season's on right now. The yellow/red ones are Rainers, they are just as sweet as a lambert but crunchy like an apple. Yeah man!

Q- Know how to get to Texas from Wyoning?

A- Go east 'till you smell it, then south 'till you step in it.

Now, how does the attendance for the first game look? If Texans bought 12,000 season tickets, could be kind of slim for the first game and for every home game after the Hornblowers leave.

I think we may see the Texass fans sell their unused season tickets, but I have been told that number is less than 2% (or roughly 200) of the total season tickets sold. The Texass fans didn't buy 12,000 season tickets, as some crack smoking Texass fans (Burt) would lead you to believe.

Yes. I agree that we need our fans to show up on the Weber State game. This is an important game. I believe that this game will determine our boys our whole season. Unfortunately I wont be able to make this game, but I will the texas game to support my nephew. I would love to be there but my country is too far.

Cameron Higgins is the QB and he is good(NFL material) also younger brother Zach play DB for Weber State. I also know that there are lots of Hawaii boys playing for this team.

So we need to win! :!: :!: .. because according to my brother everyone in Hawaii expect us to lose to Weber State. BTW what the hell is Brokeback???

Come on Pokes show up at the Weber STate and support our boys or young men.

Go to www.sportshawaii.com and tell them Wyokie sent ya. A couple of guys from there post on here from time to time.

Brokeback Mountain was a Academy Award winning move from about 405 years ago. It was about two cowboys (actually sheepherders) in 1960s Wyoming who were gay. BTW, there is no actual mountain in Wyoming named Brokeback Mountain.

Ta (thank you) Wyokie

Interesting... So why are they teasing you brokeback jokes? Hawaii is known for their Mahu. If anything I rather be a brokeback than a ugly pompous arse Mahu.

All blacks.. but now I am Poke..
