Finally.. something that... might hold water for a little bit. ESPN/Orangebloods.com reporting Texas is going to stay.

Texas will remain a Big 12 Conference member, the university announced on Monday.

Pac-10 commissioner Larry Scott says Texas has turned down an invitation to leave the Big 12 and join his conference.

The only thing I will take for full value at this point, is what the BOR of Texas will announce this week. Until then, I am taking everything with a handful of salt that has not already happened (like BSU to MWC, CU to the PAC, and NU to Big 10).

Texas and the Big 12 will hold press conferences tomorrow to announce Big 12 is still alive!

OU and Okie State cancelled special BoR meetings on Wednesday to discuss realignment.

Translation: the MW is royally scrwed. We coulda had the Big 12's BCS spot!

Or, conference realignment will pause where it is at for the next year or so. Big 12 will have 10 teams in 2011, Big 10 will have 12, and the PAC may just stay at 11 for the time being.
