TCU needs to crush Utah

Let's hope for a beat down! BCS projections for BCS bowls has Pitt in and BSU on the outside looking in. What crap! TCU could be in line for Rose Bowl!

I'm going to predict a close Utah win...mainly because I predicted Utah to win the MWC before the season started. That being said, I do actually believe Utah is going to win this game. I know, I know, when we played them TCU looked like the superior team and TCU has a devestating defense...but, I honestly believe Utah is the better team. Should be a good one.

At this point I don't care for any of them. If the rumors are true about TCU leaving I would like them all to lose a game and miss a BCS bowl game. I used to want them to go to a BCS game to free up another bowl game for us, but after the last several months I am over rooting for MWC defectors...I thought we were all fighting for the same thing but they are all a bunch of sellouts. I will actually root for CSU to beat BYU, that is until the rumors of them leaving the MWC surface.

Hell, I am ready for UW to whore ourselves out to ESPN and play any night of the week, lets go independent not much stability in conference after all....just joking but a little sick of the MWC sellouts.

I will add that if the crazies got their way and we moved out of Div 1 I would have to take up a new hobby. I would NOT support that change in any way shape or form.

That's all they are, are rumors. TCU's AD or Prez (I forget which) has gone on record saying that they are not leaving. And even if they were, they will be here for next year. Plus, all of the TCU fans on the MWC board have said they want to stay in the MWC (TCU Robert not included as he is most likely a moniker of several other "Roberts").

If there is one thing I learned from the last round of expansion, it is not to jump to any conclusions until it has officially been announced. Like the Big 12 South to the PAC over the summer, every unofficial report had them joining, and look at what happened. Same with Mizzou to the Big 10.

Out of all the crazy stuff that can happen going down to 1AA will never happen. That will never happen, because we get paid 1.5 million for a contract with the mountain. Big sky teams get paid around a hundred fifty thousand for their tv deal. I also saw a post a while back on how Montana will likely have to jump up to d1 because of lack of revenue.

As for the game itself, I think TCU will win. Close game, but I do think they win it. Wynn keeps throwing picks, and if he does that once against TCU, that will shift the momentum to TCU.

agreed, nothing is fact until it is fact, just had to rant. also complain about the ridiculous group of fans elsewhere that actually think we should move divisions...lame, lame, lame.

Well I want TCU to win so they move up in the Rankings and regardless what comes of next year this seasons statistics still count towards mwc.

So what does the way this game is panning out mean?
Is TCU one of the top 2 teams in the country?
Is Utah over-rated?
Will it even mean anything in the end? I mean really, with #3 kicking the crap out of #5 really move them into one of the top 2 spots in the BCS ranking and set them up for a possible BCS National Championship game?
I'd hope so but I was also hoping for two non-AQ schools to play against the big boys last season and look what happened, they made them play each other. It'd be nice to see TCU and Boise both get BCS bids and play different teams but if they both make it I wouldn't be shocked to see them play each other again, that way the BCS doesn't have to worry about losing 2 BCS games to non-AQ schools.

They will say Utah was overrated, but I believe TCU really is a top 2 team.

That's pretty much what I think will happen as well.

Wow... TCU destroyed Utah.. jeez. That should propel them into a top 2 spot.
You'd think and hope so, but I don't think it'll happen. The only way that happens is if Oregon/Auburn lose and that didn't happen today. Sadly enough this is the last big game left on TCU's schedule to show how good they really are. I think that they'll close the gap between them and the other top 2 schools but won't overtake them.

TCU should easily catch #2 Technically #1. If you look at the previous weeks and how the jumps went Auburn came from absolutely nowhere to pass TCU and BSU.

Week 8 auburn was 4th in the nation and they went against #6 LSU and barely beat them 24-17 not exactly a domination but that 24-17 win they leapfrogged from 4th to 1st.

TCU being 3rd in the nation beats Utah who is 5th in the nation by a dominate 47-7 in all fairness TCU should be #1 in the nation they should make the 2 spot jump to #1. Now since they are MWC they won't but they definitely should be #1 after tomorrow.

Nothing would make me happier than to see TCU at #1 in any pole especially the BCS one. Regardless of the win and how they did it, which was one of the more impresive wins around the country this season, I still think that there will be some form of bias and it could end up keeping them out of the top 2 at least for right now. The computers will probally give them all sorts of love, but I think that the human element will keep them down. I really hope I'm wrong, with both teams ahead winning I'd be shocked to see them jump one or both of them.

If either TCU or BSU don't make it to the NC game this year, then this will add much more fuel to the fire for going after the bcs. It would create a hugh firestorm. Both of these teams are legitimate and as good as or better than any of the bcs teams in the country.
