TCU Leapfrogs Boise State

TCU has leapfrogged Boise State in the latest BCS standings. They are currently #6 in the poll, Boise is #7. I hate to say it, but I'm pulling for TCU to win out.. this would do a lot of good for the MWC.

Million dollar question. TCU's defense is flat out amazing. Their offense, is good, but not as good as Utah's offense last year. I dunno, it'd be a pretty good game. I think TCU has a good chance of beating Utah.. which they'll have to do to get a shot at the BCS.

I've been saying the same thing all day. I really hope we can pull it out against the frogs, but I won't be too pissed if we lose.

In other news, CSU is still terrible.

I think TCU's offense is starting to click, at least that's what it's looked like over the past couple of weeks. Obviously I hope Pokes will play well against them, but I'm also cheering for TCU to become another MWC BCS Buster.

6. TCU, Score: 0.7890

TCU blew away BYU, and now it got the jump it needed to be in the lead spot for the at-large BCS spot that the non-BCS champion gets by finishing in the top 12. The humans provided a little bit of help with a jump in each poll, but it was the computers that provided the biggest boost, taking the Horned Frogs from eighth to fourth. Clemson's win over Miami helped (TCU beat the Tigers in mid-September), but it was the rout over the Cougars that really caused the jump. TCU will be favored big the rest of the way, and it will take a huge upset to blow it now.

Predicted wins: UNLV, at San Diego State, Utah, at Wyoming, New Mexico
Predicted losses: None
Predicted final record: 12-0
Predicted bowl: Fiesta Bowl
Toughest remaining tests: Utah, at Wyoming

Oh ya, toughest remaining...definitely at the WAR, sub zero, with high wind, and snow. Those fast Texans won't know how to handle it...

Funny thing is, Boise State's best friend right now is punch happy Oregon. As long as the Ducks keep winning BSU keeps looking better and better.

Mark May on College Football Final Saturday night pointed to Utah as the most likely place for TCU to stumble, but he also mentioned Wyoming, and said we are a much improved team over last year and basically TCU better not sleep walk into Laramie.

As for TCU and the BCS, I hope they are undefeated when they show up - but I am in no way rooting for them even slightly at the War. I hope we roll them and send them packing. Never root against the pokes, no matter what! If somehow TCU leaves undefeated then I will root for them to win out. Until then I am rooting for TCU to end the season with one loss right here at 7200 feet!

Go Pokes!

Couldn't have said it better myself!

losing to TCU this year will be the only loss that doesn't hurt... The MWC needs them to lead the way this year. So glad they jumped BSU in the rankings to

Unbelievable....it pains me every time I read these statements. I agree the MWC getting a team into a BCS game is good for the conference (and TCU definitely deserves to be ranked above Boise), however I will never ever say that a Wyoming loss is a good thing in anyway. I hope Wyoming beats and embarasses TCU, it would be a huge step in the right direction for this program. We have a chance to play 2-3 ranked teams still this year, a couple of wins in those games would be huge not only for this year but next year as well.

Also for what its worth the MWC isn't going to be added as a BCS autobid conference anytime soon. That whole 4 year review process is nothing more than the BCS blowing more hot air. I do think that the MWC is superior to the Big East without question, but there is so much east coast bias it really doesn't matter. The only legit fix to the system is to add a playoff, but that isn't going to be a reality anytime soon either.

GO POKES!!!
