Nothing risky about it, In fact it's the smartest move he could have made. He leads the AFC in interceptions for the third year after being an UDFA he will make bank. If he signed a mediocre contract for two years his value would diminish. I don't think he will be a Brown next year with the secondary they have and the fact they low balled him they won't want to pony up the 7-9 million contract.

That is the exact reason you hold out for as much as you're worth. The risk for injury is bad and you don't want some shitty contract you can't survive on.
