This thread kinda got hijacked.......But Tanner Simpson is on the travel list for the Nebraska game. He will be part of the Wide Receiver corps making the trip to Lincoln. I am proud of all the hard work he is putting in. Not bad for a walk-on. GO POKES!

LOL, If you are serious this thread began about a Wyoming Prep athlete named Tanner Simpson walking on at Wyoming. It soon after got Hijacked and became, in part at least, about prep colors.

Hey Jarhead...it's awesome Tanner is doing so well.

What have you heard about Trent Sewell? Is Tanner higher on the depth chart? There was definitely more hype over Trent, but from the sounds of it, Tanner is making bigger strides?

Yes, Tanner is higher on the depth chart than Trent. Sewell didn't travel to Nebraska. If you recall Trent got really sick last year and just hasn't ever recovered from it. He had a miserable spring camp and a mediocre fall camp. Crazy thing is he turned down a full ride to UCLA. However he is just a redshirt freshman so he will recover if he is patient. My Tanner says he is a great kid and a really good receiver he just hasn't been able to show it yet. He will come around. Wyo really doesn't need him yet. My Tanner said the new Tanner (Gentry) is a stud! Strong and a big hitter. He had an opportunity to go play in Arizona as a free safety but he wanted to catch the football so he came to Wyoming.

Isn't that the case with almost every recruit.... Most all of them have multiple offers if they are worth a damn.

No that isn't the case with almost every recruit. In fact, just last off season, we were talking about the high number of players on the team that had no offers from other FBS programs, besides Wyoming. Most schools Wyoming competes with in recruiting for football is Northern Colorado, South Dakota, Weber State, etc.
We have not been recruiting with Pac12 schools.
