Nah, it was the plan all along for McCarron to play the entire game. If anybody would've come in, it likely would've been Peterman, not Allen.

I thought only the starters didn't play the final preseason game? I thought Peterman locked up the starting spot? Or is it still tbd?

Still tbd. That's why some think Allen may start the 1st game because why else would you not play your young guy to get him more reps unless he was going to start?

Will be interesting to see who gets the nod next week.

Well, Buffalo is in some dire need of people that can catch the ball. Who better than the guy that was your QB's main target in college?

Yep. Though, and this is just my opinion, he would do better on the Bills team. They have a severe lack of consistent receivers (Josh hit Kelvin Benjamin and CJ Clay spot on, and both dropped sure catches). With someone like Tanner, a consistent catcher, not only would he have chemistry with Tanner, but the opposing defenses would have to cover Tanner more, freeing up other guys.
