Talk about bad luck with scheduling

The pokes play airforce at the academy on Veterans Day. Talk about a tough out.

Interesting stat I found.....we never played AFA on November 11 before. Series got started in 1957.

However, the closest we came to playing them on Veterans Day was the day after (Nov. 12) in 2011 and we won in Colorado Springs, 25-17.
 
I think it is the perfect day to play them. We are going to get their "A" game, but they will have taken their physical beating for 10 or so games beforehand. They certainly will be all rah-rah and probably break out the stars & stripes uniforms! After we piss-pound them, maybe we can interrupt their song again...so they say...LOL!
 
There are 124 FBS teams. Out of those 124, Air Force ranks 124th in returning starters. They will lose...wait for it...11 starters on defense.

For those not attuned with football math, you can only play 11 guys on either side of the ball lol.

I think 2017 Air Force will be the 2016 Utah State-like bad surprise of the MW. They don't see that 3-9 season coming, but losing long-time studs like Ladipo, Steelhammer, etc. will be huge.

Wyoming by 14+ in Colorado Springs.

There's 129 FBS teams not 124 haha. Not that it changes your point much. (129 could be wrong but ballpark)

Haha you're right, I misread what I saw a few weeks back. There are 129 teams, and they rank 128th. The MW overall will be thin on experience.
 
I hope you guys are right. I feel like airforce is almost always within a score and I don't like this road game.

I do think there is a good chance for a reasonable time slot for this game though and I could see Gameday possibly going to airforce on Veterans Day. Would be fun and a long shot but I could see it
