Those are Las Vegas type temps. It's hot here in Wyoming, but not that hot. We've broken the all time high record for temps about 3 times so far this month.
Wow....talk about unusual. Hope there are no more fires springing up than usual.

The Colorado fires remind me of the 1988 Yellowstone Fires.

I have a friend who's a fire captain in CA and they're being brought in to help with the CO fire. Its enormous. I remember the 88 fire... Unbelievable.

I remember hearing about how firefighters as far away as Hawaii came to Yellowstone to fight the 1988 blazes.

Fighting forest fires...........dumbest thing of all time! Protect structures and that's it! Terrible waste of money and ecologically a disaster!

That is AFA's stadium...

And my folks and I have to drive by there in 3 wees. Holy Shit!!!!!

It was 101 here today in the Springs, a record and my city is on fucking fire. they just ordered all the AFA housing to the south of the stadium to evacuate. Nothing about the cadets who are housed to the NW of the stadium yet. This shit is getting crazy. I live about 8 miles to the east of the fires and the air is heavy with the smell of smoke.

Just confirmed, a friend of mine ,Ellen, Just lost her house in the fire. About a 850,000 dollar home is ashes. Man this is just terrible. The Flying W Ranch, long time C/S tourist stop is gone also. Devastating to say the least. Million dollar homes burning up left and right.

Seems like the entire South East is getting hammered by rain. Us out here on the Front Range (Wyoming to New Mexico) would be MORE than happy to get some of that.
