Summer league updates

Sadly, I don't think it's anyone putting a leash on him. He's just not shooting well and it's a lot more clogged up in the middle than what he saw last year. Plus as you mention everyone out there are gunners so his opportunities are limited. He did take it hard to the hole against Miami and tried to dunk on one of their bigs but was hacked pretty hard. (He did hit both free throws). Last night he did have a flashy no look behind the back pass that lead to a dunk that was reminiscent of his Wyo days. That seemed to pump him up. Hopefully a few more plays like that will get him going on a steady basis. At this point I think his best outcome would be a shot in the D-League....there are just too many guards on the Nuggets roster (the Florida St. kid still hasn't played but he is a first round pick, he'll make the team before Josh and even Jimmer). I agree he is out-of-sync, but again I don't think it's a coaches decision. I think he's just playing like he dosen't want to mess up. Here's to him getting his confidence back!

An I think he is trying to adapt to a new role. At Wyoming, he was used to having the entire offense run through him and him being in control of the offense. The games I saw in the summer league he wasn't running it and had to rely on others to get him the ball and make a play.
 
All good points! I also believe the best outcome for Josh is the D-League. Entirely too many guards on the Nuggets roster. It would be a good start for him to transition and get his confidence at this level. I hope before the end of the summer- league, Josh goes unconscious on some team.

Part of summer league for these players is doing lame videos like this where you answer a bunch of questions about yourself. Normally I wouldn't find this worth posting, but his first answer absolutely cracked me up.

is the league over for now? I was outta it the past few days, sad to see Larry go down, but he'll be back with a vengeance, does it look good for Josh and DC. Hope to see a few more Pokes in the Pros, get em guys
