Stream Test

Thanks, watching it now. Video and audio works good on medium quality. Same issue as others when switching to high...it gets pretty glitchy, but it sounds like that's more of a connection issue rather than an issue with the stream. I'll be on a different computer/internet connection on gameday so I'll cross my fingers that setup works better on high...either way, I'm confident I'll be able to watch.

Your stream means that I'll be watching with many family/friends that i haven't seen in about a year...I owe you a huge thanks!

My Internet gets around 30mbps and I have a few issues. I see nowhere that allows me to change the video quality. The video quality is very fuzzy and the audio sounds hollow. Not sure what the problem is.

I'm on my retina display MacBook pro through Firefox.

Try Safari do you not see this quality option in Firefox?

Stream seems to be fine, But I don't want it getting shut down before game time so I'm going to end it for now. I'll stream the NFL game tonight since that is what I'll be watching and we'll see how many users get on the stream.

I do not see it at all in firefox or safari. Matter of fact they don't show the chat option either. When I opened chrome it showed the chat option but not the quality. This may be due to whatever you are broadcasting now though.

I don't think you'll see the quality settings on the previously recorded stuff...I don't. It shows up when I'm watching the live stream on the bottom bar next to the facebook and twitter links. Look for it there next time you're watching live content using Chrome.

Sounds like The Longhorn network got picked up by att-uverse today and will be available on it on Friday. So anyone that has a subscription with them will be able to see the game on uverse also.

Well now I have another backup.

A few suggestions for the folks that are having issues with the Hi Quality setting (or viewing issues in general). Get the most recent Flash update - http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer . The second thing you want to try is to re-install Windows Media Player- http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/download/ ... or Windows 7 Fix - http://www.intowindows.com/how-to-reinstall-windows-media-player-in-windows-7/ . Do this even if it says you have the latest version. It really helps for all kinds of streams. Depending on your OS, you may have an issue with the "half-open connections" setting, I'm a long time mod and streamer on another forum and there is sometimes an issue with this, especially on Win XP. Here are a couple of links that give info and directions- along with some simple, free software that will do it for you.
Overview for XP3

Overview for W7

Hope this helps.

Any plans for a test tonight (Thursday) or Friday? I have missed the previous tests and want to work out the kinks now so I'm not scrambling Saturday. Also, what time do you plan on starting the stream Saturday evening before the game starts?

Any chance you could stream the Vandy SC game tonight and possibly BYwho and Wazzu?

I'll start Streaming @ 4pm South Carolina @ Vanderbilt, Then Washington State vs. BYU after that game so the stream will be up much of the day.

Last year I did a lot of double streams, Veetle and livestream I might start doing those again after I but a replacement tv card my original died over the summer so for my signature Livestream is the only thing I'll be streaming to for now.

I know the Texas fans know about the stream now and of course they are welcome to watch but we might want to be careful about streaming the Longhorn Network to much or to soon before the game starts as the greater the chance it gets taken down if the Texas athletic department decides they want to shut it down.

Wyo2dal do you know how much of a chance there is for that to happen?

That is exactly why I haven't been streaming it, There is always a chance of a stream being shut down it just depends on how proactive those companies are on getting streams shut down. Last year I got MWC streams shut down 3-4 times throughout the year and that is just because of using Veetle which all companies check for.

Who knows I might have to password the stream and only provide it on these forums to slow down the viewers.

Actually UNLV game overlaps with byu and I would rather be supporting a conference mate. Sure would be nice to see them knock off a big10 team.
