A Busy Week in the High Country. . .
Another home football game, a volleyball tournament and a couple of soccer matches will keep everyone busy this week.
Saturday's football game with Texas State has been designated as Military Day, Ag Day and Family Weekend. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. There are a number of events surrounding the game including a fly-over and a number of presentations during halftime and at timeouts.
The UniWyo Cowgirl Classic Tournament this weekend will include Idaho State, Georgia State and Illinois State. The first match of the tourney begins Friday at 10 a.m. with an Idaho State-Georgia State matchup. The Cowgirls will follow hosting Illinois State at noon. Idaho State and Illinois State meet at 5:30 p.m., and the Cowgirls are back in action at 7 p.m. hosting Georgia State. Tournament play resumes Saturday.
The Cowgirl soccer team hosts Cleveland State on Friday at 4 p.m., and then Weber State at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Both events are scheduled for the Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex.
Tailgate Park for the Texas State Game. . .
Once again Tailgate Park will be open prior to Saturday's Texas State game. This week it will be open from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Food and beverage vendors scheduled for this week are Pit Crew BBQ, McAlister's Deli, Shadow's Pub and Grill, Papa John's Pizza, Coaches Scoop Frozen Desserts and Mulligan's Pub.
There will be a 9'x12' videoscreen showing live college football games from around the country. There also will be two live radio remotes (1290 KOWB and 1240 KFBC), the Brown 'n Gold Outlet Retail Shop, the Kids Zone and a number of displays including Union Wireless, Comprehensive Cancer Control, Air National Guard, Wyoming Meth Project and VA Medical Center. This week's groups include BP, Jonah Bank, The Stampede, College of Ag BBQ and Mountain West Farm Bureau.

Deadline Approaches for Student Nebraska-Game Pickup. . .
The deadline for students to pick up their Nebraska ticket is this Friday at 2 p.m. Tickets are going fast, so in order to attend the Cowboy-Husker game students must go to the Union Buy-Back windows to pick up their ticket. The ticket is free with student id. The Buy-Back windows will be open from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. the rest of this week.
Family Day Promotion. . .
The Texas State game is the only Family Day game of the home football season. The promotion includes four tickets to the game plus four hot dogs, four Pepsi's and a 10 percent discount at the Brown 'n Gold Outlet all for $72! Quite a deal. Remember the game kicks off at 4 p.m.
Cowboy Joe Club News. . .
The annual Cowboy Joe Club Auction presented by Infinity Power& Controls is just two weeks away, September 23, at Cheyenne's Little America. There are somed 500 items in this year's auction. Deadline to RSVP for this year's event is this Friday. Contact the Cowboy Joe Club office to make your reservations.
