Spring Football in Full Bloom. . .
It doesn't seem possible that Dave Christensen is already in his fourth season as the head of Wyoming's football program. The Cowboys are in the midst of their third week of spring drills, and the reigning Mountain West Coach of the Year is again pleased with the commitment his team has made to improving. He was pleased with the offseason, and the team has carried that into spring training. A total of 43 returning lettermen--including 14 starters from last season--are on the roster. The Pokes are certainly more experienced than any of Christensen's first three groups. The Cowboys, who have conducted a couple of small scrimmages thus far in the spring will go through their first full-fledged scrimmage tomorrow in War Memorial Stadium. That will be the seventh practice of the spring training. One more major scrimmage is scheduled a week from tomorrow before the Spring Game which is set for April 21.
