It's Sheep Week!
There is no bigger game on the Wyoming football schedule--or any schedule for that matter--than Colorado State. That's why this grand old rivalry game is last on the schedule each year. This is for The Boot. This edition, the 103rd, kicks off at CSU's Hughes Stadium a little after noon this Saturday. A limited number of tickets are still available through the UW Athletic Ticket Office at $30 each. It's a game that should always be circled on any Cowboy fan's calendar. To purchase tickets click here!
Poke punter Austin McCoy earned Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week for his work in the Boise State game. It was his first honor this season, but the third of his career. He has been named Player of the Week in each of the past three seasons.
"Inside Cowboy Football with Dave Christensen delivered by Union Wireless" is available Tuesday afternoon by clicking the WyoVision tab at www.wyomingathletics.com. Look for a special post-season show coming soon.
Busy Basketball Week. . .
Both the Cowboys and Cowgirls return to action this week, with Saturday being a rare doubleheader. The Cowboys host a very solid Utah Valley team tomorrow night at 7 p.m. Utah Valley nearly won at Arkansas last week and is coached by a familiar face, Dick Hunsaker who was with the University of Utah for a number of seasons. As a reminder it is a Family Day tomorrow with four tickets, four hotdogs, 4 Pepsi's and 10% off at the Brown N' Gold all for the great price of $44. This great deal is available up until two hours prior to tip-off. The Cowgirls are in the Double A Thursday night at 7 p.m., hosting Creighton. Saturday's double dip begins with the Cowgirls hosting Montana at 5 p.m. The Cowboys follow at 8 p.m. with Bradley in the Mountain West/Missouri Valley Conference Challenge. Good basketball this week, and we need Cowboy and Cowgirl fans in the Arena-Auditorium.
Remember that the Cowgirl game on Saturday is a Youth Day promotion. There is free admission for children who are sixth grade and under and who are accompanied by a paid adult. This promotion is available up until two hours prior to tip-off
For both games on Saturday Frontier Airlines, the official airline of Wyoming Athletics, will sponsor a promotional card giveaway. The first 1,000 fans to enter the doors prior to each game will receive Frontier promotional cards randomly valued between $10 and $50. These cards may be used on any Frontier flight for the next 12 months.
From the Ticket Office:
