Thats a tough one...If it was up to me and maybe to the folks that post on this board the money would go up not down. I've been in Wyo long enough to know that funding for UW athletics can be very up and down and it is hard to justify (despite it making sense if it leads to success) spending money on athletics while everybody else gets budgets diminished.
I keep hearing word of a recession looming too. I'm sure there's loads of economic biz going on that affects all of this. The school and education should be number 1. Shy is also right about athletics attracting people and being something more. Look at what sports do for the town of Laramie's economy as well ya know??? Our weird world tied to so many different things always right.
