Starting QB job open for competition

I like Tedder Easton, unfortunately having him in this type of offense( single back set quite deep) doesn't help his strengths. Spread backs have to be quick rather than big and strong. When we used in short yardage for the Nevada game he unfortunately went the wrong way. That would've sealed the game. If we used a pro or I formation he would be very useful. Offenses have changed and in the spread its mostly a zone read, its up to the back to make a split decision cut.

Maybe we line up in a "pistol" every once in awhile and use Easton as a blocking back and/or (if he can catch) throw some short passes to him in the flat.
