I don't particularly disagree with either you or Potato, and I would guess that most fans and posters also agree with your argument for the most part. The BOT, legislators/governor, and AD need to give support to athletics in order to make our programs successful. I also hear Potatopete on his complaints about the BOT not being available to fans. I would recommend complaining to the governor on how members of the BOT are not listening to the concerns of citizens and this could impact your future voting. By the way the governors brother is on the BOT.
My only issue with many fans argument ( and this isn't directed at anyone who is willing to express their concerns to higher ups) is that they bitch for the sake of bitching. If you are one of those fans you are part of the problem as well. If you donate any sum of money to UW athletics I would specifically request that your donation goes towards helping an area you are concerned with. For me I will continue donate ( and it is a modest amount but it is what I can afford) but I will request that it goes to football assistant wages.
