South Dakota St

Wyoming should win this game by double digits if they play up to their potential.

Looks like you can watch it on the Summit League network or Midco sports plus. Both cost $9.99 for one month.

This team is improving week to week. I am beginning to believe that we can challenge for a conference championship this year.

Am I crazy?
Nope. We can definitely challenge for it. I’m not into transitive property scoring in Sports in most cases but when you take many scores over multiple games then it can show you a few things. Wyoming has been beating a lot of teams that most teams either lose to or beat by 5 to 10 to 15 points, even top teams in this conference, Wyoming beats those same teams by 30 to 40 points. Then we hung at Texas Tech and had a chance in that game.

Only reason we lost to Sam Houston was bad shooting night from the free throw line. Like really really bad.

So far Boise State, New Mexico and Wyoming seem like the top teams to me, in no particular order. I’m not completely sold on Utah State, CSU Or San Diego State yet but any of those 3 could end up good as well.

Wyoming can play with all of them and I love the depth.

Not sure how that Texas Tech game is going to hold up. Tech has lost all the games they've had against ranked teams, and last night barely hung on against N. Colorado (ended up being 11 points but was closer throughout).

Yeah, that Texas Tech team was not anywhere close to as good as last year’s team was. I doubt they end the season in the top 25 and might not even make the NCAA Tournament this year.

But if they were in the MWC, they still likely win the conference. They were more athletic than any team we will see in the MWC, save for SDSU. Hanging tough in a true road game was impressive especially given the low expectations this team had entering the season.

This team is heads and tails better than they were at the very beginning of the season. Maybe some of that is Sunny getting his personnel/rotations figured out.

Every year I hear coaches talk about the non-conference slate being about improvement and heading into the conference games with a full head of steam. This is the first time I’ve actually seen it happen.

If you would have asked me where we finish in the MWC after the first five games, I would have told you somewhere between 6th and 9th. But this team has improved so much in the past month that I can legitimately see them in the title hunt late into the season. Unbelievable coaching job - Sunny and has staff deserve tremendous credit.
