Syracuse lost to a D2 team ITS ONE GAME!!!!!!! lets just move on geeze
I agree, it's just one game. Coming in I thought we had an advantage in chemistry and outside shooting. turns out those two were huge. I never thought we'd outrebound you. We have one guy over 6'8 and he doesn't play.
That said...we're not a joke. We were very successful in D2 and the transition to D1 has been hard. We lost 11 players to transfer after the move in just 5 years. We're talking top notch players who went on to Illinois, K-State, etc. Our basketball history is a proud one. We will not be kept down for long. And if you think this is bad consider we won at Iowa State last year. We have verbals from two of the top 125 players in the nation for next year.
On top of all this our womens team (ranked #24) beat Gonzaga (ranked #27) in OT tonight after Gonzaga hit a three (I still don't think it was a three, but oh well) w/ 2.2 left to send it to OT.
It was a big night for us and we celebrate the win over you guys b/c we respect you guys and consider a win over your program a great win. Please accept the compliment and have a great year!

You guys have a very good women's program. We know that and saw it first hand a few years ago in the WNIT.
That said, our men's team should not be completely uncompetitive with your men's team. Very disappointing and unacceptable performance tonight!
Hopefully they can get this out of their system and play better next week. One game doesn't make a season but this one was ugly.
