It doesn't matter who the coach is. This is institutional. You can't win in Laramie. Nick Saban couldn't win at Wyoming.

The Nick Saban could not win in Laramie, eh?
Forget it. SDFan goes to junior high games to meet girls. He's everything that's wrong with America...
Aren't you the same guy that wanted SDPOKEFAN to suck your dick?
That couldn't have been him. He doesn't have one.

Use 7220 to our advantage too, sooooo frustrating

Because that worked sooo well against Hawaii under DC a few years back, right?

Seriously, as bad as this loss was, there was progress. And I saw a Defense moving forward. The TO's were much needed for those guys in the backfield. We contained AFA very well until I saw Wacha go out with a concussion. He was containing the middle well, when he went out that was when AFA started busting big gains up the middle with Davern.
Running was strong. Maulhardt played well, other than his tipped ball int. Gentry played well, but you could tell he is still suffering with his ribs. Bailey makes a 41 yarder! Hill had a bad game. It happens. Sometimes your best guy has one of these. I do not blame Coffman for those INTs. Those passes were right where they needed to be. Hill slapping the ball with one hand was pretty lame. It didn't even look like he was trying to catch it, just knock it away... right into the defenders hands. How many handoffs does Hill take? 20-30 a game. Probably that or more at practice, spring ball, fall ball. What are the odds of him bobbling a handoff??? Baffling! And on a scoring drive too! Other than that, I would say Coffman needs needs to really learn to take the lead. His confidence hangs on by a thread. And when one thing bad happens then it becomes a domino effect.
It's sucks to lose, but these guys are getting better.

I swear to God if I read one more post about how this team is "making progress" in another double digit loss I'm going to lose my ever-loving mind.

Do we need one of these threads after every loss?
I agree. What has changed since the last loss? Did anyone expect a different outcome against a decent Air Force team on the road?
What exactly are we supposed to talk about?

Shit I won't be able to post on the football board again, ever! Much to most of your delight, I'm sure.

You lost that years ago on here. Why do you always have to come on here and cry and attack? That's about all your known for.

You don't think the D played well until Wacha went out with an injury? I mean we were blown over by UNM, and AFA had only 300+ yards of offense. You didn't enjoy seeing those young DBS getting those TO's? Progress. You didn't have a sigh of relief when Bailey made a 41 yard FG? Progress.
I stated what I saw progress in and also where we failed. Our failures were from players that generally don't fail, like Hill and Maulhardt.

You must not visit the basketball board during the season. I'm pretty darn complimentary of winning teams. Just can't stand losing. But the good thing is, I have just about reached the point of apathy with the football program. I don't know how many more times I can come on here and rant and rave about the same things over and over. We're only six weeks into the season and it's like a broken record on here. There's nothing new for anybody to discuss. God knows what we'll be talking about come week 12.

What's up with all the projection coming from the guys who represent themselves with a dummy?... oh, wait a minute, I see now...

Well you have more faith in this guy then a lot of folks. This ain't FCS football. You simply cannot pull a bunch of Power blocking offensive linemen that are nasty out of thin air. We have none on the roster. Not trying to be sarcastic but Laramie ain't a 4 star lineman destination. Play with what you can recruit and what is consistent. That is the spread. The great equalizer for playing against big ass defensive linemen and backers who are one yard off the line of scrimmage.
I really have to question if you have any clue about the game of football? Your post say no.

Let me see if I have this right. The only way we'll compete is to junk the smashmouth pro style offense and revert back to a Christensen based spread system? That's it?

Well, if you can't recruit players who can open running lanes for the offense, maybe the power running game isn't best suited for your players.

You realize our RB is 7th in the Nation in rushing yards. It's not an issue of opening holes because he hits them all the time the issue is when the opposing team stacks the box with 8 people we aren't smart enough to figure a way around it.

The MWC is a high octane offense, and wyoming is running on diesel out here, Try to play this antiquated smashmouth old school football on a conference that will hang 50 on you is not the way to win a game.

Counterpoint: Stanford.

Your move.
