I said before the season started I thought Wyoming would give the rest of the conference all they could handle - especially by the conference part of the season. We have played a weak schedule in OOC, but I think that was a smart move by Shyatt so that he could work with the team and get them used to his style of play. We just beat CU on the road and step up to tougher competition to play DU who I believe is ranked. That is very shrewd scheduling I think. This team is very close to being ready for conference play. Three teams in this conference (New Mexico, San Diego, & UNLV) all think they are way above everyone else in this conference and will run through this conference like a hot knife through butter. These teams are not going through the conference unscathed this season - they are going to be surprised by the rest of the conference. Every team in this conference is tough this year. Man, am I glad we have the coaching staff we have this year.

I'm too lazy to look it up, but DU ranked? No way I believe that. They'd have to be at least 19-0 before they started receiving votes.

You are right - they aren't ranked in the polls, but their RPI & SOS are both ranked 28th in the nation.
