Something to think about - a'la Butler

Reports out there are that Butler's Coach Stevens makes $900K a year. We can't afford to payoff Heath the $700K to fire him. If we can't afford to fire a bad coach, how can we afford to hire a good one?

I agree with what you are saying. But you gotta look at Butler, in this case, a little closer. Student enrollment, about 4000. 11 Million dollar total athletic budget. Not much emphasis on much other than basketball (although they do offer 15 scholarship-type sports it appears).

Maybe UW needs to take a page out of the Butler book, huh?
