Someone want to tell DC to let ACS do his thing?

Because in the 4th quarter there, we saw the playmaking ACS from last year doing what he needed to do to get the 1st down and drive the ball.

Absolutely! The offense only seems to click when ACS is given the reins to scramble around in the pocket and make plays. I think we try to establish the run too much on first down (with little success). If the play calling all game was like the 4th quarter yea we might turn the ball over a bit more, but I guarantee we will score more points. Furthermore, the zone-read and WR sweep plays will only work if the defense is on their heels a bit (as was shown on Herron's run).

Watched the game at the theatre (which is cool, but we've never won a game when I've watched it there.) I fan behind me made an interesting comment in the 4th quarter. ACS only plays well when it is chaotic. Think about it and revisit the games where he played well.
Only problem is you can't recreate situations where he excels until the end of games. Has he ever played well in the first half? His big plays always come on the heels of a scramble or broken play. He's good at adlib, but we aren't going to win many games like that. Although, the few we win will be exciting.

ACS, sometimes, tries too hard to dance and run around trying to figure out how he can run the ball. He had FOREVER to throw several passes late in the 4th and just ran and ran and ran and wasted time on the clock. That last quarter he started to give up on his favorite play "oh shit, run" and was looking for forward passes and finally got some!

We should not have run the ball nearly as much as we tried. Stupid!

Or at least so many option runs because you can tell that the BYU defense was just waiting on it.

I said it earlier this year.....the problem is Arroyo. He needs to be gone. His play calling cost us wins against AF and probably BYU. He is a kid and cannot....repeat...CANNOT run the offense. At the end of the season when the Pokes are watching Bowl games on TV....give Arroyo the boot!
