That game was pretty frustrating. I have to agree, it was almost Brett Smith vs. Nebraska. Some good play by the D at times. But, Smith...What a talent! I hope he does well in the draft and the NFL.

Pelini has the same results year after year though. They always lose 4 games per year. This is arguably their best year in a while though because they actually won their bowl game.
I remember Martinez was 0-3 in bowl games and 0-2 in conference title games (1 Big12 and 1 Big10)

I really liked Martinez a lot, but man he should not have been a 4 year starter. Funny how the one bowl game he doesn't play in they win.
I actually feel bad for the kid.
But then again, he got to play for a national power team like Nebraska, so I don't feel bad for him.

I agree about Martinez. I never could figure out why Nebraska didn't have a better option than him.

Did the kid playing QB for them have eligibility left? If so, I'm with you. I don't feel sorry for Nebraska at all! (Like I ever did!)

He was still hurt when he came back and after he came back they learned the severity of the injury and realized he would be out for the rest of the year.

Well, we could have used your guys' o-line for him. Would have made the rest of the season easier for him, and probably put up more numbers.
